Target: Vaccine Booster Updates

Today the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) endorsed booster shots for both the Moderna and Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccines.  High risk groups who received Moderna vaccine are advised to get a booster six months after completing their initial vaccination.  For those who initially received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, a booster is recommended for everyone two months after their first dose.  The CDC also endorsed “mix and match” vaccinations, meaning that those eligible can get a booster from any vaccine, regardless of what brand they received initially.  There are now booster recommendations for all three available COVID-19 vaccines in the United States.
